I am currently an undergraduate student with plans to graduate at the end of 2022. After years of working in a nursing home and at a medical daycare, I became fascinated by the brain and wanted to better understand dementia. I saw an opening working for Dr. Marco Hefti and knew it would be a great opportunity to learn more about Alzheimer's disease while pursuing my interests. After graduating, I plan to apply to medical school where I hope to build off of this knowledge. 

As lab manager, I perform a wide variety of lab techniques including plasmid extraction and transformation and help to ensure the lab is running smoothly by ordering supplies and upholding safety and health protocols.
